CRYONIC PRE-SUSPENSION
Assisting Australian residents who want a cryonic suspension after death

CryoPath works closely with the Southern Cryonics storage facility in NSW. We optimize the process of cryonic suspension:
-
Cryonic suspension is a long-term storage procedure that uses very cold temperatures to preserve a person after legal death.
-
It is undertaken with the hope that advances in medical science will allow revival in the future.
-
An optimal cryonic suspension is critically reliant on prompt and effective pre-suspension procedures.
-
These procedures minimize the risk of brain damage that would compromise your personality and memories.
-
We offer a professional pre-suspension process that supports the brain and so maximizes your chances of revival in the future.
Re overseas facilities
Due to recent tightening of government regulations in both Australia and USA, there is now significant risk involved in transporting patients to overseas cryonic facilities, including Alcor and Cryonics Institute. Further info
Wide coverage across Australia
Working with a dedicated medical perfusion provider who has portable capabilities and the capacity to mobilize quickly, CryoPath can provide a cryonic pre-suspension service across the full breadth of Australia. This allows prompt stabilisation of the patient, regardless of location.
Reduction of distance risk
In Australia, large distances carry a risk because of the difficulty in maintaining stabilisation due to excessive temperature variation. However, we are able to steadily maintain the patient’s temperature at dry ice levels during transportation, which substantially reduces the risk.
Modern vitrification capability
Because variation of the patient’s temperature is no longer a significant risk, we can offer the modern perfusion method, vitrification, despite its temperature sensitivity. We can take advantage of the much lower risk profile that vitrification has when compared with older methods used in cryonics.
The procedures

STANDBY
Our representatives stand ready to swing into action immediately after the pronouncement of legal death so as to minimise the potential for ischemic injury.

STABILISATION
Your deceased body is then stabilised using cooling procedures and cardio-pulmonary support for the brain. An experienced practitioner then performs a perfusion with cryoprotectant chemicals and further cooling.

TRANSPORTATION
You are then transported to the cryonic storage facility with minimal delay, while the required narrow range of temperature is maintained with dry ice, regardless of the distance to be travelled. Note that you will need a signed agreement with your chosen cryonic storage facility. See Southern Cryonics.
